--Rising artist David E Beats new video for his song "Maybe Tomorrow" has been added to mtvU's The Freshmen contest for the week of June 7th that will last 2 weeks. mtvU, every week, holds a new The Freshmen contest, which gives five emerging artists an opportunity to get their video in regular rotation on the channel which broadcasts in dorm rooms on college campuses all across the country.

About The Maybe Tomorrow Video
Shot by Drew Angle and Kristopher Rey Talley in Chicago, Illinois, the video is set in what could be assumed as a near future. The world has suffered a fallout, leaving its few survivors struggling to survive admist the nuclear winter and the human loneliness that follows. It follows David E Beats through tattered, decaying environments (a visual staple of many of Beats' imagery), including an abandoned hospital, a forest, a grain silo and the remaints of a beach. After burying his final friend, it is him till the end, struggling to remove himself from his past and focus on the future. In a world where all hope is lost, our protagonist must learn to be his own best friend, and let go of the things that are no longer, and that may get in his way.
