June 2, 2010 - PRLog -- May 2010…Exciting adventures exploring distant lands and far off cultures – Tintin fans for the first time ever are now able to follow in the footsteps of their favorite Belgian adventurer. On The Go has broken new ground by joining forces with Moulinsart, the rights holders to the work of Hergé including his most loved creation, The Adventures of Tintin, one of the most iconic European comic books of the 20th Century.  From the vibrant landscapes of Northern India and the enchanting Kingdom of Jordan to the ancient treasures of Egypt and the home of Hergé himself in Belgium, this new Tintin brochure offers tours in four of the most popular destinations featured within the Tintin comic series. Weekend trips to Brussels commence in July 2010 and the inaugural adventure to India is on 29 October 2010, with trips to Egypt and Jordan following soon after.

On the Go has especially tailored the different Tintin holidays to suit both the avid adult Tintin fan and younger travellers. Clearly marked in the brochure, the adult holidays feature a strong cultural and historical bias and most are led by a Tintin expert. Offering entertaining adventures and exciting themed activities, the Tintin family holidays are designed to bring the spirit of Tintin alive for the whole family and are suitable for children aged between seven and twelve. Guests can also create their own personalised Tintin tour and travel as a private group, handpicking properties to suit their needs.

Jay Lakshman, MD of On the Go Tours says: “I feel immensely privileged to have the opportunity to collaborate with Moulinsart on developing these holidays. As a young boy growing up in India, getting hold of a new Tintin album was a real treat and I chewed through the entire collection fairly soon! To now be able to present Tintin fans worldwide with authentic holiday experiences, following in the footsteps of my favourite adventurer, truly is a special moment. Fittingly, the inaugural adventure takes place in India, with trips to Jordan and Egypt following soon. With long weekend trips to Brussels too, there’s plenty more to come in this exciting new chapter of Tintin – this is only the beginning!”
