June 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Toronto business centre operator LBCBE lauched the 7000 square foot coworkingspace.ca coworking facility and is in search of coworking catalysts. A catalyst will build a group of like minded individuals that want to work in close proximity to each other with the hope that there interaction will mutually enhance productivity. It is a win/win scenario for entrepreneurs, consultants, programmers, web developers, artists, designers, salespeople, and other professionals. "You can tap into each other networks as well as having an opportunity vetting ideas with other coworkers, rather than hanging out at coffee shops or attending breakfast meeting" suggest Director Leo Coholic; and adds "all within the confines of a environment that is conducive to getting work done". "What we hope to have at coworkingspace.ca is a group of coworking groups working sybiotically or independently. Although there is no formal data, most coworking groups are most likely 15-20 people. With the number of spaces that we have we could handily accomodate, 5 to 6 such groups. There is a great opportunity for these independent groups to interact with each other if they so choose."
What is in it for the coworking catalyst? "Firstly, they get to bring together their own affinity group with all the benefits that entails;  secondly, they are not burdened by long term leases, buying furniture, contracts with utility suppliers, stationary, etc; and thirdly, they are not burdened with administrative details and servicing their coworkers. They get all the benefits of coworking without most of the responsibility that comes with such an arrangement" observes Coholic. "This enables them to focus on their own competencies and business rather than running a space" he concludes.
Coworkingspace.ca is an open concept facility that has 68 deskspaces, with lockable drawers and many have upper storage cabinets as well. It is configured to accommodate several different coworking groups. The facility  has a meeting room and access to boardrooms as well as whiteboards. The floors are a mix of hardwood, tile and carpet. The mechanical system is exposed giving it a loft like fee with over 9 foot ceilings. It is located across the street from a TTC Lakeshore Streetcar stop and is near the Long Branch GO, with easy access to the Gardiner, QEW and 400 series highways. On a good day it is approximately 15 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown. Those that are interested in coworking or becoming coworking catalyst are encouraged to visit the website www.coworkingspace.ca or call 647.436.6336 for further information.
