Looking for the Next Miss Black Massachusetts

June 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Boston, MA (April 12, 2010) – Young women and girls ages17 to 27 residing in Massachusetts are encouraged to compete in th 2010-2011Miss Black Massachusetts Scholarship Pageant to be held in October in Boston.

The Miss Black Massachusetts Scholarship Pageant provides an opportunity for African American women to showcase their talents, intellect, creativity and inner/outer beauty. The first place winner of the pageant, in addition to prizes, will receive a scholarship, media exposure and go on to compete in a national scholarship pageant in 2010 where she will represent Massachusetts among the "Who's Who" of young women of color across America.

During the pageant in Boston, contestants will be evaluated on five categories of competition: Personal Interview, Talent, On-Stage Speech, Fitness and Evening Gown. A swim suit category is not part of this competition, as contestants will be competing based upon their values, talent, intellect, health and ambitions. The competition will be judged by a panel of well known community supporters.

Miss Black Massachusetts Pre-Teen      (10-13)
Miss Black Massachusetts Princess      (5-10)
