PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 1, 2010 - Miami, FL -- In his official visit to Colombia this week, the Honduran president, Porfirio Lobo, defended  the Venezuelan political strategist  J.J Rendón, who advises the Colombian presidential candidate Juan Manuel Santos in the coming presidential elections of Colombia,  and who was accused previously of smear political campaigns. A positive track record negates these allegations.

The president of Honduras, Porfirio Lobo, described, the publicist J.J Rendón as "a great strategist," who was in charge as chief strategist of the campaign that made him win last year as the head of state of the Central American Country. The Honduran president himself, highlighted the qualities of J.J Rendón, strategist and publicist, who was the creator of these campaigns, and who spared no praise for the advertiser.

Porfirio Lobo said that J.J Rendón is a good strategist and highlighted his professionalism. "He was the chief strategist of my presidential campaign. He did very well," said Honduran President Lobo. The Honduran president explained that the political marketing expert known as J.J Rendón, worked for two years on his political campaign and thanks to him,  he managed to win the presidential election in Honduras in November 2009. “J.J Rendón is a good strategist. In the campaign in Honduras he was the chief strategist, very well made, he was with us working for two years,” states Lobo.  “I met him in Miami, recommended by a Venezuelan lady, I didn't have any previous references that he uses dirty campaigning, he is very good at what he does. And we won with a lot of difference.”

President Lobo, praises the acceptance of Rendón’s perception of things and his strategic suggestions during the campaign and stated that in the end they prevailed with a victory. He recalled that the Venezuelan publicist advised the U Party four years ago, and was able to consolidate the movement as the leading political force in Congress. He explained that he asked the former president of Panama, Ricardo Maduro, a referral for a strategist close to the campaign of Colombian president Alvaro Uribe, because according to him, Uribe was always characterized by having a sweeping advertising campaign. The fact is that President Uribe was also referred to  Rendón. He recalled, “There has been a journalistic controversy about him, I do not know why."

In Congress, it emerged that Rendón was the support to the U party in 2006, because he played a number of tasks in the political circle of Sergio Fajardo in Medellin. Alonso Salazar, who ended up winning too, became the Secretary of Government of Sergio Fajardo in the outgoing administration. "J.J Rendón was part of that campaign and helped them to set up the strategy, which ended up being very effective because finally he defeated Luis Perez, who appeared in the beginning as the winner in all the polls," said Antioquia Senator Jorge Enrique Velez, who belongs to Cambio Radical. Veldez said that three weeks before the election as mayor of Medellin, in October 2007, Rendón helped with the advertising strategy where Alonso Salazar was elected .

The name of Rendón, who is the publicity strategist and advisor of the current campaign of Juan Manuel Santos, presidential candidate of the 'U' to the Colombian elections, is the focus of press and public opinion in recent weeks by allegations of creating black marketing and problems with his work permit in Colombia. New details were released on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 about the work he is doing currently in Colombia, the political strategist and publicist J.J Rendón, is currently working on the Santos campaign in Colombia without any problems regarding his work visa or any other accusations under in his name.
