June 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Blizzard Beach is just one of two water parks that the Disney franchise operates. The first thing that greets guests the moment they enter is Mt. Gushmore, a 90 foot snow capped mountain that features slalom courses, toboggan and water sled runs. Don't forget the 120 foot high Summit Plummet that happens to be the country's tallest and fastest free fall speed slide that can be seen from almost anywhere in the park.

Aurora Lillo Editor of the "Best Hotel Deals" website -- http://www.BestHotelDeals.biz -- pointed out;

“...One of the water park's newest attractions is the Downhill Double Dipper which is a side by side racing slide. This stands 50 feet high and 200 feet long. You can travel more than 25mph until you go shooting out into the water below...”

The park has a few other attractions. These include the Slush Gusher, the Teamboat Springs, Snow Stormers, Runoff Rapids and the Chair Lift.

Below Mt. Gushmore is a sandy beach. Here, you can enjoy the wave pool, the lazy river or get something to eat from one of the two snack bars namely Avalunch and The Warming Hut, a polar pub lodge as well as a play area for pre-teens and children.

Kids can also enjoy similar attractions that are catered for the older generation, there is a kiddies version of Blizzard Beach known as Tike's Peak. There is also Melt Away Bay, Cross Country Creek and Blizzard Beach Ski Patrol Training Camp.

With the number of attractions at this water park, you will have to wait in line until it is your turn because they do not give free passes here. It is best to come early and do the popular rides first. Just to give you an idea, the longest waits are at the Chair Lift, Downhill Double Dipper, Slush Gusher and Summit Plummet.

You may also come later in the afternoon because those who come in the morning don't usually stay around until closing.

“...It really gets hot during the summer so you should bring some sunscreen. Since the ground gets pretty slippery, you should always wear water shoes or flip flops. As for what you should wear, be sure to have a real bathing suit because some of the sides have strict bathing suit regulations...” added A. Lillo.
