What was the attraction to GiveOpp?  Heather says, “Giving something back, plain and simple. We didn’t look for this business. It found us.” The profits from that early success have been earmarked for their clean-up efforts in the Gulf Coast.  “It’s amazing how hard it is to volunteer to do something right. We were told to ‘Stay home’ by most every group we contacted. ‘Just send money.’ But that it is not how we operate, as part of GiveOpp, we wanted to do something – take action. We’ve written many checks but we needed to know our efforts were making a difference! If that means driving 700 miles to take HAZMAT training, so be it. We were very determined and pushy. We did not take ‘No’ for an answer.” In spite of pushback, the Bodingtons have set the dates for their departure and putting the profits into their mission.
