Follow on Google News | Christians, Atheists & Agnostics Called to Debate God's Existence at www.GodvsNoGod.blogspot.cThe two world views can exist side by side, but over time either those who believe God created and sustains the universe or those who believe man is a completely independent agent make the rules. The debate is on. God or No God??
By: Randy Kirk & Associates Atheists and agnostics will state that this is perfectly fine as man is basically good and that science will eventually provide us with a good and peaceful world. Christians will say that this is not fine as man is basically evil, and can only be constrained by such things as duty and obedience to a higher law or God. The winners of this debate over centuries have dictated the course of human history. The stakes are very high. But, for most, the debate cannot be carried on in a social setting. It is too risky. The debate has been primarily carried on in the musty halls of academia. But now, because of the great democratic powerhouse of information, the internet, those on the two sides of this issue are able to continue their thrusts and parries long after grad school. There are websites, blogs, ezines, videos, and forums that either touch on the subject or are dedicated to aspects of it. But alas, most folks are only too happy to pontificate within the safety net of those who agree with them. A new blog is calling those willing to get into a scrum to bring their best game. The blog is http://www.GodvsNoGod.blogspot.com The blog was started a number of years ago and has a vast amount of content from writers of all opinions. The debate was sidetracked a while back for reasons unimportant to the future of the site. The revitalization of the debate comes at a time in history when there are plenty who are hot and bothered by the intellectual challenge, but also the potential practical consequences to all mankind depending on which view gains power in a nuclear age. The blog is open to everyone who is willing to debate with intellectual honesty, integrity, and without stooping to ad hominem attacks. Comments will be moderated to keep away those who don't play nicely. But as can be seen in the work that is already on the blog, both sides will be given plenty of opportunity to courteously hammer away at their opponents. # # # The www.GodvsNoGod.blogspot.com debate is on. If you would like to write articles, help with admin or editing, or just add your own comments, please head to the site and get signed up. We need folks from all sides of the debate. End
