ITC has created award winning Bar /Bat Mitzvah tours to Israel- for you to experience that once in a lifetime celebration. We provide much more then a regular tour-we provide a Kid-Friendly, Hands-On, Bar Mitzvah tour that includes excitement, history, personal growth, ear-to-ear grins, and a whole lot of fun.

ITC believes that the particular beliefs and practices that have traditionally identified us as Jews have enabled us to survive. Our trip is designed so that you may rediscover your Jewish roots, through hands on knowledge of who we are as a people. Our trip offers both adults and children the ability to get in touch with Zionism and rewards them for their endeavors. ITC promotes the benefits of Bar / Bat Mitzvah travel with our three-generational levels on which our tours are conducted. This way all members of the family are comfortable doing what they can, while others can do more.

ITC offers over 20 years experience in touring Israel. Many of our guides have been with us almost that long; they specialize in our tours and are very experienced with families. Only ITC can give you what you want; we will help you make the family memories that will last a lifetime.

What are ITC's Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tours?
ITC TOURS Bar/Bat Mitzvah tours are designed for families seeking a uniquely meaningful experience of this important life cycle event, by combining the excitement of a modern day celebration with the majestic history of Israel. An ITC adventure provides the opportunity for our heritage to come alive, giving him or her a sense of connection to the Jewish past and future.

How does my child prepare?
Several months prior to your scheduled date of departure, you will receive a package containing a written version of the lines to be chanted (in Hebrew with English transliteration). If your child is interested in chanting a longer or shorter portion (the average portion is 5 lines of Torah text), you can let us know, and we will accommodate your needs.

How should the Bar/Bat Mitzvah child dress for the ceremony?
Appropriate attire for the ceremony is VERY casual. In the winter months, boys should wear long, light colored (khaki or white) pants and a long sleeve white shirt. For the warmer months, similarly colored pants and a short sleeve, white t-shirt or polo. For girls, dresses and, skirts in the same colors are appropriate.

What happens when we get to Israel? When do we meet the Rabbi?
After your first several days in Israel and before the Bar/Bat Mitzvah, you will meet with the rabbi who will be officiating. He will walk your child through the entire ceremony, explaining the order of reading from the Torah. He may even ask you to lead a prayer in English during the ceremony. The rabbi will make sure you and your child are fully prepared for the Bar/Bar Mitzvah!
