PRLog (Press Release) - May 28, 2010 -
A Co Tyrone manufacturer is to create up to 10 new jobs after receiving an investment boost from one of the province's up-and-coming young entrepreneurs.

Conor Guy, managing director of Envirogreen Recycling has made an undisclosed investment in Coalisland-based Atlantis Composites in return for a 34% stake in the business.

Atlantis makes glass reinforced (GRS) products such as leak-proof showers that provide an alternative to traditional shower trays and tiled walls. It also manufactures patented  surgiclad wall panels that kill superbugs and help prevent the spread of MRSA and C. Difficile in hospitals.
Mr Guy said he believes Atlantis Composites can become a big player in the quality GRS products market.
"I'm thrilled to be partnering with Atlantis Composites, which has an extremely innovative team that manufactures high-quality GRP products at affordable prices. There is huge potential for Atlantis Composites to become a roaring success," he said.
The business venture will see up to 10 new skilled jobs created in the Coalisland area.
Gary McKiver, a partner in Atlantis Compositions said the tie up was an exciting development for the future of the company.

"Conor has shown great support and belief in the company when the banks were unwilling to back us in this tough economic climate. We will now be able to upscale production and meet growing client demand for our products.

"We look forward to working with Conor and the further development of Atlantis Composites," he said.

Armagh company Envirogreen was only established in August last year, but it is on course for a £750,000 turnover in its first year.

The firm, which has 14 full-time staff and another three part time, handles a range of recyclable materials, buying baled cardboard, plastic, metal and glass.
