Follow on Google News | Touch International Launches New Multi-Touch InitiativeTouch International, a leading touch screen manufacturer headquartered in Austin, Texas, announced today that effective immediately, all of its projected capacitive and resistive products will adopt multi-touch capabilities.
By: Touch International “Based on market research and our customers’ needs, multi-touch capabilities are a requirement to compete in today’s touch screen market,” explains Gary Barrett, Touch International Chief Technology Officer. “Because of this, MulTI-Touch and MARS technologies are going to become our standard multi-touch product lines. We want to make sure that all of our customers have the most advanced capabilities at their fingertips.” Touch International began building multi-touch products in January, launching the Multi-Touch Resistive MARS series, followed by the MulTI-Touch Projected Capacitive line, set to release in June. In addition to multi-touch capabilities, these products can be configured to work with pen, gloved finger or bare finger input, and used in cold, hot or wet weather conditions.
