May 27, 2010 - PRLog -- The buzz surrounding the concept of crowd funding is becoming a lot louder to the point where it reached the ears of Lisa Oliver; a freelance writer and author and creator of AWWCOnline (Any Way We Can) who lives in the rural northland of New Zealand.  Interested in trying out this new trend for raising funds Lisa created a project on Indiegogo.com to raise money so that she could create a new video course for parents of teenage children.

Entitled "I know when my teenagers are lying, do you?" Lisa Oliver draws on her research into the psychology of lying and how body language and facial expressions can betray the liar even when the verbal responses are entirely convincing.  "I got the idea from watching the popular television drama series 'Lie to Me'", she said, "and so I started watching my own teenagers and their friends.  I found that in nearly every case I could tell when they were lying and when they weren't - it was quite a fascinating study".

Ms. Oliver decided that her research could be used to help a lot of parents who feel that their teenagers become aliens once they hit the age of 13 to 15 years.  Having raised six teenagers of her own with a strict honesty policy, knowing when her teens were lying to her gave her the advantage when it came to keeping tabs on their behavior.  "I found that once I could tell when they were lying it made it a lot easier for me to parent them - I was also more likely to listen to them and had more of an empathy with what they were going through at any one time".

After being online for the past nine days the project has yet to raise one cent, but Ms. Oliver is hoping that the internet will prove to be a viral marketing tool so that her dreams for this project can be realized.
