MCMANIS FAULKNER CLO NEDA MANSOORIAN HONORED WITH YWCA OF SILICON VALLEY’S TWIN AWARD


SAN JOSE, Calif. – May 26, 2010 – Neda Mansoorian, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and partner at McManis Faulkner, a leading Northern California trial firm, was honored by the YWCA of Silicon Valley with a Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award.  In its 26th year, the TWIN Award is one of the nation’s most prestigious awards given by the local and regional YWCA’s.  Established to pay tribute to women in business, the TWIN Award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and demonstrates the esteem in which companies hold their women executives.  Honorees represent a cross-section of Silicon Valley companies, including those in the technology, legal, communications, non-profit and healthcare industries.

One of the first law firm CLOs in the nation, Mansoorian utilizes her extensive trial and business experience to work across multiple client service teams and cases.  Applying corporate project management principles to litigation management, she works to maximize client value and leverage the firm’s diverse resources, including attorneys and staff members.

Mansoorian’s legal practice emphasizes high-technology litigation, as well as matters involving professional negligence, products liability and general negligence, high-asset marital dissolutions, employer liability, wrongful termination, real estate disputes and breach of contract, among others.  She has tried cases before juries and judges and has expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

In addition to her firm leadership, Mansoorian serves on the Board of Governors of California Women Lawyers.  She has chaired the Education Subcommittee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Diversity Committee and is a past president of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Women Lawyers Section.  Mansoorian is also a member of the AAJ (Women Trial Lawyers Caucus and Mentor Program) and the President’s Blue Ribbon Commission on Diversity.  She also participates annually in fundraising for Next Door Battered Women’s Shelter and Child Advocates of Silicon Valley.

In addition to the TWIN Award, Mansoorian was recently honored as one of “Silicon Valley’s Women of Influence” by the Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal.  She earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (1999) and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley (1994).
