The reason for this is most likely the various different ways that people go and set a bed. So to make things simple I will go over how to place a bed in the most basic of ways.

First remove everything until you are left with nothing but the mattress. The things you will need are a duvet cover, comforter, sheet, 2 pillow cases, 2 shams, a bed skirt, and a mattress cover.

Start off with the mattress cover and place the mattress in side of it after you do this you can zip close. These are important if you want to keep it clean. Moving on from there now that you have the mattress off the bed put on the bed skirt. Please note if you use long duvet covers or maybe a bedspread than you might not need to use a bed spread it also depends on how you make the bed, here we will need to use one. Once you have the mattress back on the bed put the sheet on the bed make sure all of the corners are properly put on so that there are no wrinkles anywhere. Next get your pillows ready and put 2 pillows inside the pillow cases and on top of that put the pillows that you used with the shams. Then you want to put the next sheet on this is when things start to get difficult because this is when the folds start to play a roll in things. The proper technique of a fold can get confusing so a good way to do this is to first have everything laid out don’t start folding right away. Fold the bottom up first fold the corners like a paper air plane wing than tuck them in securely. Tuck everything in until you move up to the top of the bed than you want to leave that unfolded until the end. To finish everything get the comforter ready and follow the same steps you did for the sheets once you get to the base take the sheet and comforter and do a six inch fold tuck them both end to finish and step back and admire your work.
