Janet Jackson, Co-Founder – GOPisforme.com, Wants your Vote for SREC SD22
One Dynamic individual working hard for the G.O.P. in Central Texas has a lot to say to Republicans in Congressional District 17 and Texas Senate District 22.
“Let’s get busy!” exclaimed Janet Jackson, Vice-Chairman of the Bosque County Republican Party and Co-Founder of the new movement reaching out to Hispanic Conservatives, GOPisforme.com. “All games aside, now is the time to fuse together to help Bill Flores win,” Jackson said in an interview with TCMwebtv.com.
In the Year of Obama, the political environment is reaching new heights, and the Republican Party is doing some soul searching. The policies of Obama have spurred Conservatives into action, creating a no excuses attitude.

In addition, Mrs. Jackson has dedicated a great deal of this past year building GOPisforme.com, a movement based on Hispanic Inclusion within the Republican Party. In July 2009, she met Duke Machado, who was filming Chuck Wilson, a CD-17 candidate, at the McLennan County Republican Women’s Club monthly luncheon. Jackson remembers her first conversation with Mr. Machado, “He was a young family man, who obviously wanted to be involved, and I could tell he was quite serious”. Within days, the two met and discussed the potential of the Hispanic community and the Republican Party. The next step was an introduction to Jimmie Kerr, a China Springs businessman and political activist who has a passion for developing precinct organizations in areas overlooked by the local Party.
During a four hour meeting, which included a presentation of the current Precinct Chairman status of McLennan County, the three sat in Mr. Kerr’s office, and decided that Mr. Machado would develop the Hispanic Republican Club of McLennan County.
On September 3rd 2009, Mrs. Jackson invited the Executive Director of the RPT, Eric Opiela to meet with the newly formed Board of the future Hispanic Republican Club of McLennan County. During this visit, Mr. Opiela discussed the need to develop Hispanic organizations and expressed his support from the RPT. Club formation documents from the Hispanic Republicans of Texas were given as an outline along with Bylaws, and on September 11th, 2009, Mr. Machado formed the 501 (c) 4 and was off to the races.
Mrs. Jackson then chaired the elaborate Launch event for the new Club, presented at the historic Hippodrome Theatre in Waco. Thanks to the generous and vigorous fundraising by Mr. Kerr, the event, titled “No Boundaries” was a complete success, drawing supporters from across the District to meet, socialize and begin the process of building alliances with County Chairmen interested in developing their own Hispanic Republican Clubs.
Today, GOPisforme.com, the “umbrella”
Janet Jackson is at the heart of it all, and with new clubs forming in Ellis, Navarro, Bosque counties, it is apparent she means business.
Mrs. Jackson would like all Texas Delegates in SD22 to support her at the Convention.
