Grupo ASSA, a Consulting and Outsourcing company that helps clients with their Business Process Transformation through Information Technology, announces its partnership with IBM to develop e-commerce solutions and integration services in Latin America. These services will be delivered by the Integration & TEchnology Services (ITS) division, currently representing 25% of business volume at Grupo ASSA.
"We began investing in the e-commerce segment this year and it already represents 10% of the ITS division at Grupo ASSA", highlights Guido Simeto, Integration & Technology Services Vice President. Simeto attributes this success to the need retail companies in Latin America have today to modernize their product and service delivery platforms. The technology and resources provided by WebSphere Commerce, together with Grupo ASSA’s project implementation experience in the region’s retail segment, are the key elements in this partnership.
"The alliance provides IBM with a strategic partner with experience in important markets across Latin America, such as Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina, for the development of e-commerce projects, merging Grupo ASSA’s abilities with IBM’s e-commerce technology platform, IBM WebSphere Commerce", states Paulo Souza, IBM WebSphere Software Manager.
The ITS division has over 200 specialists grouped into five technology blocks. "Knowledge of companies’ business processes and of how the technology platform permits the implementation of B2B (Business to Business), B2C (Business to Consumer), B2E (Business to Employee) and B2B2C models, complemented with strong integration experience, allow Grupo ASSA to offer clients end to end solutions", observed Simeto.
In Brazil, Grupo ASSA has hired Luciana Vieira Costa to satisfy the dynamic e-commerce market focused on integration through IBM’s WebSphere product line. With 20 years experience in information technology, the executive has recently been named ITS Business Manager at Grupo ASSA.
