The only U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved therapy for amblyopia has recently been launched by RevitalVision, LLC, formerly NeuroVision, Inc. Amblyopia, commonly known as “lazy eye”, affects more than an estimated 180 million people worldwide.
The RevitalVision therapy improves amblyopic patients’ vision by enhancing brain processing without drugs, surgery or glasses. During the computer-based training sessions, a series of visual tasks and repetitive images train the brain and improve visual processing. RevitalVision analyzes performance and continuously adjusts the individually customized training sessions to substantially improve vision.
In addition to amblyopia, RevitalVision is clinically and scientifically proven to improve the vision outcomes for post-cataract, post-refractive (LASIK) and presbyopia (need for reading glasses) patients.
