Fashion Designer Merlin Castell of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Show debuts new line at BOULEVARD3

May 26, 2010 - PRLog -- The Five Nine Event is the brainchild of fashion producer, Joshua James, who has created the ultimate fashion industry mixer providing a unity between fashion icons, celebrities, and aspiring artists in every aspect of the fashion industry. Debuting his new Fall 2011 line "Space Traveler on Mars", Merlin Castell promises to take his provocative designs to warp speed with an entire new line of sheer couture. Eschewing the traditional runway show, Merlin will present his designs on an eight foot tall runway that appears to float on clouds and is accentuated by video images, laser beams, and intergalactic models. In attendance will be a devoted crowd of over six hundred guests eager to see his latest and most flamboyant creations.

The party will feature a live performance by Australian recording artist, Vassy, recently nominated for Australia's Best R&B Album, and a special dance performance featuring the Boulevard3 Dancers, regularly seen on "So You Think You Can Dance" and "America's Best Dance Crew". Special Guest appearances include Jade Cole from America's Top Model and Patricia Kara from NBC's Deal or No Deal.

Merlin Castell is best known for his recurring role on The Janice Dickinson Show which propelled him into notoriety and made him a much sought after celebrity designer. Merlin's unique designs have been coveted by the likes of Paris Hilton, Paula Abdul, Priscilla Presley, Carlos Santana, Lenny Kravitz and Dancing With The Star's Karina Smirnoff. Originally from Honduras, the Los Angeles based designer is a true rags to riches story having arrived in California with, literally, just the clothes on his back after his luggage was lost.  Merlin was recently voted, "One of the top designers to watch out for" and his Haute Couture Tailored Clothing has repeatedly been the talk of both regional and national press.
