May 25, 2010 - PRLog -- A leading global SIM card company has completed its second acquisition in as many months. GO-SIM Limited, which has offices in the US and the UK, has purchased Oneroam Communications LLC of Miami, Florida for an undisclosed sum.

This follows GO-SIM’s acquisition earlier this year of Oneroam UK, with the transition of customer care and service for these customers completed in March, 2010.

According to GO-SIM’s CEO David Agar their long-term aim is to become the number one supplier of prepaid SIM cards in the world and they are already looking for further opportunities to expand the business.

“Completing the Oneroam USA purchase only one month after the previous acquisition clearly shows how determined we are to achieve our growth objectives,” said Agar.

“We’ve also had some interesting calls from other competitors, and I hope to be able to announce more exciting news soon!”

Agar added: “Americans are increasingly becoming aware of the high cost of roaming. This latest acquisition provides a further boost to GO-SIM’s US customer base and will accelerate the company’s ambitious strategy for growth in the States.

On 1 April, 2010 Oneroam Communications’ customers were transferred seamlessly to GO-SIM and continue to make and receive calls for a fraction of the cost of using their normal SIM card while calling back home from overseas.  Now, as GO-SIM customers, they can benefit from the lowest SMS international rates available anywhere in the world.

Additionally, US customers have gained access to two of GO-SIM’s unique services: Voice2Email, which allows users to manage their emails from their cell phone using simple voice commands, and MyGO-SIM which enables customers to manage their SIM cards, add online credit and send free SMS any time and from anywhere in the world.

Agar concluded: “A cell phone is now a ‘must have’ essential for anyone who is travelling abroad, whether for study, business or leisure. But as anyone who has ever used their cell overseas knows, roaming fees can be astronomical.

“GO-SIM is the best choice for the thinking traveler and I welcome former Oneroam Communications customers and promise they will notice a big improvement.

“We look forward to providing new US-based customers access to GO-SIM’s innovative range of products and services which could save them hundreds of dollars when keeping in touch with friends and family back home while overseas.”

Notes to Editors

GO-SIM provides innovative new products and services to make it easier and cheaper to use a cell phone while travelling abroad. Users simply swap out their normal SIM card and replace it with a GO-SIM card whilst roaming, which enables them to save up to 85% on call costs.

GO-SIM’s global SIM service operates in 175 countries and regions around the world on over 400 networks.

The service is prepaid, airtime can be added any time and from anywhere and any unused airtime credit never expires so the SIM can be used year after year. There are no daily connection charges and no monthly or annual service fees.
