Louis was selected as the winner by a committee of community leaders. This year’s selection committee included Stefanie Franklin, Long Term Care Ombudsman; Bobby Shuttleworth, Channel 48 News Reporter; Susan Kennedy, RN, Winner of the 2008 Nurse of the Year; Donna Dickens, RN, Retired Nurse; and Gina Green, Hardy Chiropractic Marketing Representative. All nominees were honored and presented with a certificate recognizing their nomination and a glass rose.
“Nurses put their all into their work and we are proud to be able to honor them with this award,” said Lisa Terry, Managing Director of Country Cottage.
Also at the ceremony were three speakers who gave presentations. Ana Franklin talked about “Methamphetamine Lab Recognition;”
