Summer Enrichment Programs and Athletic Camps Offered at Camden Catholic in Cherry Hill

Camden Catholic High School in South Jersey offers "Irish Summer" program of athletic camps and theater and enrichment programs for area elementary and high school students.

PRLog (Press Release) - May 24, 2010 - CHERRY HILL, NJ -- Camden Catholic High School’s “Irish Summer” program of athletic camps and theater and enrichment programs for area elementary and high school students kicks off with the first session of Boys Basketball Camp beginning June 21.  A link to the registration form for the camps and programs is found on the Camden Catholic website homepage at www.camdencatholic.org.  

This year’s Summer Theater Program takes place July 12 through 29. It is aimed at two age groups: grades 3-8 and grades 9-12. The program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Students learn skills such as character interpretation, vocal production, and stage presence, and work on choreography, costuming, and make-up. The program ends with a student performance. Cost is $300 per student.

The Summer Enrichment Programs for students entering grades 5-9, begin on July 13 and end July 30, with two morning sessions at 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.  Topics include study skills, math skills, English grammar and composition, Spanish, journalism, art techniques, environmental science, and forensic science. Cost is $200 for one session; $350 for two sessions.

Camden Catholic Athletic Camps give students access to the 33-acre campus and facilities of the school. They run from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  Cost for each week of camp is $100, which includes a camp T-shirt. Boys Basketball Camp for boys entering grades 3-9, under the direction of Varsity Coach Jim Crawford, has two sessions available: June 21-24 and June 28-July 1.

Boys Football Camp for boys entering grades 6-9, under the direction of Varsity Coach Rick Brown, takes place the week of August 2-5. For this camp only, contact Rick Brown at 609-605-0072 or rick5brown@aol.com.

Boys/Girls Lacrosse Camp for students entering grades 5-9, under the direction of Varsity Coach Adrian Salcedo, has one session for the week of June 28-July 1.

Girls Basketball Camp for girls entering grades 5-9, under the direction of Varsity Coach Chris Palladino, has two sessions: July 19-22 and July 26-29.

Girls Soccer Camp for girls entering grades 5-9, under the direction of Varsity Coach Adrian Salcedo, runs the week of July 12-15.

Girls Field Hockey Camp for girls entering grades 5-9, under the direction of Chris Palladino, takes place July 5-8.
