Donald Hatter was recently recognized by the Houston Business Journal with its "40 Under 40" award given to Houston's top 40 young leaders under the age of 40 who excel in their industries, are respected business leaders and show dynamic leadership in their community. The HBJ honored the 40 leaders as part of the Houston Business Journal four-day Celebrate! Enterprise event held on May 20th at the House of Blues.
Hatter is the Founder and CEO of DRE Software, Inc. which is a leading provider of business collaboration software for sales and marketing professionals who are looking to enhance relationships and communicate more effectively with clients, prospects, partners and colleagues. DRE’s Business Collaboration Network (BCN) is uniquely designed to increase visibility into a sales cycle, share common knowledge, and allow online collaboration, ultimately driving down the cost of sale.
Prior to forming DRE Software, Inc. Hatter was an accomplished sales, marketing, and business development professional that saw the need to reduce long and complex sales cycles, and make sales efforts more efficient and less costly. Hatter successfully sold software and services to companies such as Wal-Mart, ExxonMobil, Shell Oil, Waste Management, Johnson & Johnson, Texas Instruments, Visa, Administaff and many others. In doing so, he realized that many sales organizations struggle to capture, exchange, and truly leverage much of the information that exists about a prospect, client or partner during a sales cycle. The insight gained from those experiences led to Hatter forming DRE Software and creating its Business Collaboration Network (BCN).
“It was a tremendous honor to be recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of the community’s emerging leaders,” says Hatter. “I pride myself in being a well-rounded individual so I really appreciate the fact that my community involvement was considered along with professional accomplishments in selecting the honorees.”
Hatter holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Strategic Planning from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
