Preventing A Venereal Disease

You wouldn’t know it but at least one out of ten have, have had, or will catch a V.D in their life time. There are a number of different ways to catch one that you have to watch out for. For instance there is the obvious one that is having intercourse with out protection, also there is blood on blood contact which can range from someone bleeding on a cut of yours or getting someone’s blood in your mouth. Also to come in contact with the infected area rather directly or indirectly can result in catching the initial disease depending on what V.D it is.

Venereal diseases range from many different things some more dangerous than others like syphilis, genera, and of course H.I.V . Syphilis is a very dangerous but easily treatable disease. In it’s early stages it can appear as soars called chancre that do not itch this chancre can be alone or may come in multiples. In the second stage there are rashes that can form around your genitals, and even your hands and feat. Also you can begin to experience headaches ,aches, fever, swollen glands, sore throat, weight loss, or a feeling of fatigue. If still untreated there is a third and final step that can cause major damage to your muscle tissue or even lead to permanent blindness.

 Luckily there are a number of different ways to prevent this. Many people can catch a disease while simply traveling. When we stay in hotels or motels we can never be so sure how clean the sheets are that is why you should carry  bacteria fighting duvet covers to prevent yourself from unnecessary infections. Duvet covers are easy to put on and some can protect up to 99.8 percent of bacteria. Also people seem to catch them in public bathrooms that is why it is so important to avoid public bathrooms if at all possible. Some of our jobs force us to work with injured people which may cause us to come in contacted with infected blood. So remember whenever working with injured people use gloves and a protective face mask. Make sure whenever you have intercourse to protect yourself by using condoms and to also have your partner undergo a screening by a doctor for any venereal disease. By taking proper precautions you can protect yourself from catching a venereal disease.
