[Baltimore MD, MAY 30, 2010] – LM. Preston is a dynamic new voice in young adult science fiction. Her debut novel, EXPLORER-X – Alpha (February, 2010), takes the reader on the ride of their lives to space and a far away planet. This first installment of the EXPLORER X series features Aadi who discovers the true purpose of the Space Camp owned by his parent’s company. Her upper YA SciFi novel THE PACK comes out August 1st, 2010 but pre-release copies will be available at the event Sat (5/29 at the MWA book sales table) and Sun (5/30 at her World Building workshop) only.
LM. Preston was born and raised in Washington, DC. An avid reader, she loved to create poetry and short-stories as a young girl. With a thirst for knowledge she attended college at Bowie State University, and worked in the IT field as a Techie and Educator for over sixteen years. She started writing science fiction under the encouragement of her husband who was a Sci-Fi buff and her four kids. Her first published novel, Explorer X - Alpha was the beginning of her obsessive desire to write and create stories of young people who overcome unbelievable odds.
