The dog days of summer are knocking at our doorsteps and we wish we could just not let them in. But, if you're one of those always chilled out person and no heat can dampen your spirits right? So, here are some 'cool' summer party ideas which will definitely make you a heat wave.
Summer parties need not necessarily be held on beaches, expensive hotels or pool sides. You can have one right at your own house!
So, you can have it either indoors away from the merciless sun or if you're ready to face it then bring it on we say!
Here's how to make the best of a summer party:
• The most obvious thing to do would be to have a beach theme.
• Spruce up the surroundings based on beach themes and use fans, air conditioners, air coolers etc. to keep the place breezy, if required.
• Stack away your chairs, sofas and other furniture to make room and get some boulders (look-alike brown cushions will do) and mats with beach towels draped over them.
• Place a few huge beach umbrellas in the room if you can get hold of some
• Keep the dress code as beach wear. That doesn't necessarily mean swimsuits - sailors and fish can also be included. Let your guests go wild!
• Serve seafood and lots of cool cocktails and chilled beer of course.
• As for you...get a special look - how about a mermaid dress with sequins and seashells?
• If you have a swimming pool nearby, a ‘throw every unsuspecting person into the water' act will be the perfect finale to your summer party!
