Do you have any impression about the terrible earthquake and tsunami happened in 2004 n Indian Ocean? According to the statistics, the total casualties amounted to as many as one hundred and seventy thousand in Aceh provinces alone. This is the largest-scale human disaster seen after we passed the threshold of the new millennium. Julia once witnessed the catastrophe while enjoying her holiday at that time.
“I was just shooting the scene of the beach with my video camera. It was a fine day that day with warm and many tourists were enjoying the sunshine. I noticed a big family just arrived at the beach; they were just about to take off their clothes and fashion shoes under the palm tree when the tsunami was detected. All of a sudden a flood of sea water poured onto the beach, I saw the wife of the newly-arrived family waved and picked up her sexy shoes then tried to run off the beach. But it was too late. She and her family were submerged by the ebb of sea water then disappeared. Julia showed us her shooting and in the end we saw litters, tress, furniture, clothes, cars and etc were all floating on the waters.
“I know many stars and international organizations tried their best to help the victims in Indonesia to rebuild their hometown after the tsunami. I remember a group of travelers who survived this tsunami launched a spontaneous donation; we gave what we took with us, only left ourselves some money for our returning trip. I can never forget the last scene I shot with my video camera, the wife waving her high heel shoes and crying for help, but in vain. After I returned to my hometown in New England, I bought a similar pair of high-heel shoes off Milanoo (http://www.milanoo.com), meant to tell myself what an enjoyment it is just to live in this lovely world”.
This is the story of Julia, a survivor of the 2004 tsunami. Readers can read the sorrow and fright between the lines. This is the reason why every time earthquake is reported, people will naturally concern over the issue that whether a tsunami is also caused.
The latest earthquake of magnitude 7.4 struck Indonesia again and set the local citizens panic-stricken. The government issued a local tsunami alert and later lifted after reading the indicators of sea level. Tsunami potentials are believed to be lessened in a thirty-minute period.
