Katie Lord races at Macon Speedway.

May 23, 2010 - PRLog -- (Macon,IL)Katie Lord and the Lord Motorsports team raced at Macon Speedway tonight. The number 42 modified driven by Katie Lord ran great. Katie started the the race in heat one; lined up on the outside of the third row. She finished the heat race in the same place that she started-6th. This would require she start on the pole of the B-Main with an opportunity to race her way into the feature race.

During the B-Main katie ran strong and gave a former track champion a good run. They swapped positions and ran side by side lap after lap. Steve Ewing driving the 31 modified, got past Katie midway throught the race and the caution flag flew for a spin. After the green flag resumed the racing action, Katie did not have enough time to challenge for the win. Katie finished 2nd which meant that she would advance to the feature.

During the feature the #42 started in the 17th position but got caught up in some bad luck. Another car spun and Katie got entangled with the other car. The 42 modified suffered some damage that would eventually cause Katie to have to pull to the pits ending her night early.

Katie Lord ended up with a 14th place finish in the race. With her finish tonight she has moved to 24th in points.
