Maidenform adopts FastFit360 studio for Fit & Web

FastFit360 revolutionizes how the world engages images and information – anytime, anywhere and with common sense.

May 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Consumers want more than the traditional one-size fits all web experience.  In a recent survey highlighting global trends in Online business for 2010 published by Adobe, the top Online features rated as most effective, include: product tours or multi-media viewing which combines guided spin, zoom imagery, videos or animations with copy (36 percent); visual filtering and advanced search on product features including size, color, and price (33 percent); user comments and reviews (32 percent); search landing pages (32 percent); zoom (28 percent); and product comparisons (28 percent).

But REWIND, why aren’t we using this type of technology for business-to-business collaboration?  That’s exactly why Maidenform purchased a FastFit360 studio.  Not only to satisfy their Online customers, but to also communicate with partners whether they are within or outside the U.S.  Although FastFit360 launched their Software-as-a-Service version last year, they still provide the individual Studio Licenses’ for purchase.

The FastFit360 studio license was inspired by flip books, first introduced in 1868.  Like flip books, FastFit360 utilizes the visual experience to capture movement.   The application cuts up to 99 frames out of 15 seconds of digital video to create a 2 MB file presenting movement. The file is a piece of HTML code, not a large video or Flash file, showing an image that rotates 360 degrees, either on a mannequin or model. It eliminates the need to take multiple photos from different angles, or to create video files that are too large to e-mail.  These files can be used in conjunction with applications such as Adobe Scene7.

Maidenform was founded in 1922 in Bayonne, New Jersey - although no manufacturing facilities remain in Bayonne today.  Maidenform will be using the FastFit360 studio for internal collaborations throughout their supply chain as well as for their Online store.  The studio was installed at their new headquarters in Iselin, New Jersey.  Robert Russo, CIO of Maidenform, said it best: “FastFit360 clients may be using the technology for their supply base, but we’re gonna use it for Customers.”
