Expat Keidi Keating, who moved to the Costa del Sol, Spain in 2004 likes to stay in a hotel every so often to recharge her batteries.
Recently she spent two nights at the four star Beatriz Palace Hotel and Spa in Fuengirola.
“It was actually a Christmas present to my boyfriend because I couldn’t think of what else to buy,” said Keidi. “He has been working night shifts since the beginning of the year and this is the first opportunity we’ve had to take a break from work and family related commitments.”
The Beatriz Palace on the outskirts of Fuengirola is a four star hotel with a fully fitted spa area, plus two outdoor swimming pools. For an added bonus, it’s right on the beach!
Keidi and her boyfriend went for the Mini Spa Offer, which costs 127€ for one night’s stay. The offer includes breakfast, bottle of manzanilla wine, two massage baths and full use of the spa facilities. They paid 70€ extra for a relaxing warm oil massage each.
They spent two and a half hours in the spa, nipping in and out of the sauna, Turkish Bath, jacuzzi, swimming pool with all the massage jets, etc, andthe massage bath.
“The warm oil massage lasted 30 minutes and by the end of it all I felt like I had been transported to a totally different plane of existence – one which I didn’t want to end,” said Keidi. “I slept SO well that night, which was great because I had only caught four hours for the previous two nights combined!
“There are some great hotels to stay in along the Costa del Sol, but the Beatriz Palace is one of the nicest I’ve come across and it’s brilliant value too.”
