GRHU recently broke new ground with the announcement that it was moving forward with the installation of the E-Fuel MicroFueler at the main Karl Strauss brewery in San Diego, where Karl Strauss will begin to power its vehicles with the ethanol that the MicroFueler produces, which ultimately is intended to reduce the brewery’s annual fuel costs with negligible initial capex.

The achievement of this long-awaited milestone could be a harbinger of things to come, both with respect to GreenHouse’s longer-term capacity to generate high margin fuel revenue and the precedent it potentially sets for a brewery industry actively seeking to implement closed loop energy efficiency solutions that utilizes waste to produce ethanol that in turn can generate electricity.
