Windsor, CT: Nadeau’s Auction Gallery held it’s annual spring Asian Antiques auction on Sunday, March 28th at their Windsor, CT location. It was a highly successful event, offering over 400 lots. Among the lots was a late Qing Dynasty white jade sculpture of a ram, which brought in $2250. A Qing Dynasty bronze incense burner sold for $2500, A QianLong Period large Yixing brush pot painted landscape by famous artist "YangJi Chu" went for $1000. Scroll painting of birds and flowers by famous artist "ZhangDaQian"
sold at $1500. There was a painting by famous artist "XuBeiHong”, 52" x 26" which sold for $1600. Two Oriental scrolls, one had characters and other with two panels with a galloping horse and characters sold for $5500 A large Famille-Rose wild flower bottle vase, who’s body has scrolling vines and wild flowers continuing into lappet rings and wild flower bands around the neck went for $5000. A second Famille Rose porcelain vase with nine peaches design and Guangxu mark, 19th Century took in $4500. A group lot included three Oriental paintings; one of peaches another of a blossoming tree and the third of potted plants sold at $6500. An Oriental framed and matted fan along with framed print of birds sold for $1100. The item to bring in the most was an embroidered blue silk dragon robe having nine five-claw dragons with couched gold-wrapped threads leaping amidst clouds, bats and other auspicious emblems, all above a hem of crusting waves with other auspicious objects and the lishui stripe, for $9500
