Ryland Homes Names Daniel Nickless New President For Denver Division

May 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Ryland Homes has announced Daniel J. Nickless as the new president of the Denver division.
  In his new position, Nickless will be responsible for planning and directing the Denver division's overall operations, including site acquisition, sales, marketing, production, and customer relations.
  "Mr. Nickless was brought on to provide the strategic direction to move Ryland Homes forward as we enter a critical period in homebuilding," said Peter G. Skelly, president of Ryland Homes North/West region. "His financial background and ability to cultivate land opportunities are essential for the division's growth."
  Nickless comes to Ryland Homes with a wealth of real estate knowledge earned over more than 20 years in the industry. In his most recent position, he was president of FPC Development LLC, a private developer and general contracting firm; and principal of The Nickless Group, a private real estate investment, project management and financial consulting firm specializing in asset and loan acquisitions, build outs, and troubled debt restructuring.
  Prior to that, he was president of residential developer Capital Pacific Homes, Colorado division for five years. He also served as chief financial officer, then president and chief operating officer of the Writer Corp., a Standard Pacific company, where we was employed for 13 years. In addition, Nickless served two terms on the board of directors for the Denver Home
Builders Association.
  Nickless' began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick  after earning his bachelor's degree in accounting from Metropolitan State College of Denver. He also served as executive vice president at Uniwest Financial Corporation and United Savings Bank in Denver.
