4X4 Mini-Switchers in Fiber or Coax
PESA expands the QuadBox series of fiber media converters with three new product offerings – a 4X4 coax switch module, a 4X4 fiber switch module, and a 2 channel bi-directional fiber/coax extender. Supporting video formats from 143Mbps to 3Gbps, these modules provide equalized and reclocked video signals for SMPTE 259M, 292M, and 424M or can be set to by-pass mode if needed. For the latest in 3D requirements, the new QuadBox units are excellent for long-reach signal distribution allowing up to two dual-link HD-SDI channels to be distributed over fiber for distances up to 10Km.  Each module can be configured as a network device managed through PESA’s CATTRAX™ software or managed locally through an on-board USB port using CATTRAX™ CUB software.

3G-SDI Switching for 8X8, 16X16, and 32X32 sizes
For small scale routing of 3G-SDI and support up to 1080p/60,  PESA offers the 1RU Ocelot-3 capable of routing all SMPTE and ITU standards for serial digital video, including support for embedded audio and other ancillary data for broadcast and digital cinema requirements. The Ocelot-3 can be configured as a 16X8 or 16X16.  Next in line is PESA’s 1RU Cougar-3 configurable as 16X16 or 32X32 with similar capabilities and features. The Cougar-3 is compatible with all of PESA’s control systems and remote control panels and allows easy setup for network configuration with PESA’s PERC2000 or 3500Pro Control Software.

In-line miniature coax-to-fiber and fiber-to-coax extenders
The Sabertooth fiber optic mini-extenders transport SD/HD/3G-SDI video over long distances using just one fiber optic cable. As one of the smallest profile coax-to-fiber and fiber-to-coax digital video media converters, the Sabertooth has a diameter of 0.55” (14.0mm) and is only 3.14”(79.6mm) long. They provide high performance media conversion between BNC equipped 75 Ohm coax and LC connector-style single mode or multimode fiber cable. With a diameter smaller than a BNC connector, the Sabertooth allows for the tightest possible unit-to-unit pitch available making them ideal for sharing fiber and coax connections on a standard BNC-based router.

Extending HDMI signals over a single coax cable
PESA introduces a new set of extenders for transporting HDMI over a single coax cable. As part of the new PESA PRO product line, the PRO-HDMI-BNC is the perfect solution for those who need to extend HDMI signals long distance over coax. These HDMI extenders enable users to easily connect HDMI sources such as Blu-Ray Disc Players, DVD players, DVR recorders, Satellite TV set-top boxes, HDMI cameras, computers, and gaming consoles to any HDMI compliant display. For existing coax-based serial digital routing systems using SMPTE 292M or 424M transports, the PRO-HDMI-BNC is a cost effective solution to transport HDMI sources to HDMI displays over the HD/3G-SDI switching system.

8X8 HDMI Switcher
The PRO-8X8-HDMI-CAT enables users to connect up to eight HDMI sources, such as Blu-Ray Disc Players, DVD players, DVR recorders, Satellite TV set-top boxes, HDMI cameras, computers, and game consoles to eight HDMI displays. The frame features High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compatibility which eliminates the problems normally encountered with HDCP encoding on switching devices that send video transports simultaneously to more than one display. The new PESA PRO-8X8-HDMI-CAT is an innovative product that fulfills professional A/V integration requirements for multi-source HDMI distribution, making it effective for use with all HDMI displays and projection systems used in corporate, government, educational, or digital signage settings.

8X8 DVI Switcher
PESA announces the introduction of its new PESA PRO 8X8 DVI Switcher, further expanding its innovative product reach into the Professional AV markets. The PRO-8X8-DVI is a 1RU rack mountable frame assembly with 8 DVI-D input ports and 8 DVI-D output ports. This powerful and affordable digital matrix switcher is capable of selecting content from 8 separate video sources to any or all outputs. The PRO-8X8-DVI provides single-link, DVI-D operations up to 1920X1200@60Hz (WUXGA) resolutions as well as 480p to 1080p video formats

Multiviewers for SDI and DVI
The new multiviewers have been designed to address the challenges of HD monitoring, including support for HD-SDI and SD-SDI inputs and delivering high resolution outputs up to 1920 x 1200 at 50 or 60 Hz, including 1080p. The solution offers an extensive feature set including; input auto-detection, source window sizing and positioning capabilities, full-screen mode allowing users to turn any of the source windows to full screen, ability to cascade modules for large-scale monitoring applications, static / dynamic labels, tally support, and much more.

3G-SDI to DVI/Component Video Converters
PESA will display the VidBlox 3G-NE-F which receives coax or fiber optic 3G-SDI serial digital video signals over a single fiber or coax cable and converts the SMPTE 424M compliant signal into a DVI or component analog video output. The 3G-NE-F is compatible with PESA’s full line of 3G-SDI Fiber and Coax Extenders, Converters, Routers and Switchers. The VidBlox 3G-NE-F supports de-embedding of audio from the SMPTE signal, USB local control, and two1080p60 inputs. Using the VidBlox GUI interface, input sources can be set for auto-detect, or, set via software to receive a signal from a specific input port. The BNC port supports SMPTE 424M inputs at 1080p60 and allows cable connections up to 80m. The fiber port supports SMPTE 424M inputs and allows cable distances up to 10Km using singlemode cable or up to 400m using 50/125 micron multimode cable.

144X144 Fiber Optic Router for HD-SDI/3G and 3D-HD up to 1080p/60
PESA’s Cheetah-3 is one of the smallest and most compact 3G-SDI fiber optic routers on the market offering an incredible 144X144 in only 4RU.  PESA’s Eco-friendly Cheetah-3 offers sizes starting at 36X36 with the flexibility to expand up to 144X144 without the need for additional rack space or power supplies. A fully loaded frame consumes a maximum of 300 Watts, reducing the cost of total ownership over the life of the product. Systems can be setup to support a wide range of digital transports including SMPTE 259M, 292M, and 424M. The Cheetah-3 supports both singlemode fiber and multimode fiber, Ethernet control and diagnostics, as well as a full line of remote control panels to manage any type of system control requirements.

Attendees of InfoComm 2010 conference and exhibition may visit PESA at booth #N2475.
