May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Side Point Hotel, Turkey
Coming in first, is Side Point Hotel located in the Turkish Riviera. The menu leaves a lot to be desired, with the dishes from lunch simply being reheated and served again at dinner time. The restaurant itself was not clean, and as one user on HolidayCheck so succinctly put it, "If you survived a stay at this hotel, then you can eat anything."
From over 40 reviews, the food was rated as: 1.9 (the rating scale ranges from 1 = very bad to 6 = excellent)

Hotel Arcadia, Majorca
Former guests say to avoid the breakfast here. The reason? In the words of one user, “The food was frankly disgusting”. There are 186 reviews of this hotel, and the users describe how, “The room was underground, the cleaning hardly ever happened and the buffet served burnt toast and shrivelled sausages.” “The coffee machine was a no-go area and the orange juice dispenser filthy.”
User rating: 2.0

Laruj Polat Thermal Hotel, Turkey
We return to Turkey, this time to the Laruj Polat Thermal Hotel. It has been awarded 5 stars, but according to some HolidayCheck users the quality of food is not even worth half of that. They say, “The dining rooms were unhygienic and the choice of meals was very limited.” and “the quantity of the food served at the buffet is too little regarding the number of guests.”
User rating: 2.1

Hotel Colosseum, Bulgaria
Unlike the name suggests, it is not the Colosseum in Rome, but rather a hotel in Bulgaria and the quality of the cuisine cannot begin to be compared to Italian food. One user said that “the food was inedible.” According to the 129 reviews however, the hotel is in a very favourable location and there are several better restaurants nearby.
User rating: 2.6

Reemyvera Hotel Resort, Egypt
With the same score as the Hotel Colosseum, the Reemyvera Resort in Hurghada has been rated by HolidayCheck users as 'insufficient'. There was an apparent lack of hygiene in the dining room and the menu was always pasta, vegetables and meat, described by one user as “unappetizing”. Another review says that in the hotel bar, drinks were served in plastic cups and in order to get a coffee for breakfast, you had to get there early, and otherwise you could not find a clean cup.
User rating: 2.6
