To the statement, “But this book is offensive to Christians!” Dan simply walked away in his grey sharkskin suit mumbling about an Office Gossip that needed slaying on 32nd street.
Christians are saying this type of training is offensive, because it encourages people to invoke and connect with their own personal power instead of “asking Jesus to take the wheel”. While Dan claims to be a Christian himself, and says that the power he refers to is simply the Holy Spirit. If you read his materials or attend his seminar, however, it will be evident that this type of training is not entirely Godly.
Dan O’Connor is known as The Energy Vampire Slayer because of his special gift for naming and slaying office energy vampires and difficult people like Bullies, Beggars, Victims, Cry-Babies, Exploders, Gossips, and The Negaddicted. He conducts seminars and keynotes on--of all things--slaying these “Energy Vampires”.
In response to why he was giving away his most popular program, Dan had earlier said, “I just want everyone who has to deal with difficult people to get help--even if they can’t afford professional communication skills training. Not everyone can afford to hire a trainer or motivational keynote speaker--I want to make sure that everyone has access to this life changing course.”
Many, however, suspect something far more sinister. It appears as though he’s trying to disseminate this information to children, people with low self-esteem, and other vulnerable people.
This E-book/workbook combo is supposedly a self-study guide that helps organizations and their employees become Energy Vampire Slayers, and defeat negativity at home at work, and in themselves. This resource is available for the public to download for free at www.powerdiversity.com, Dan’s website. You can read it on-line and judge for yourself.
