By: Io DuPont, LLC / Power Cordz WITco is an Idaho nonprofit that provides independence- “Every time someone buys our products, they’re providing jobs for people with intellectual disabilities,” WITco has been packaging Io DuPont’s Power Cordz™ synthetic fiber bicycle cables for the past 3 years. “Work is a huge reinforcer,” WITco’s variety of services assists about 800 individuals with intellectual disabilities every year. “It is humbling and inspiring at the same time, everyday I’m here,” said Ramon who has been working for WITco for the past 12 years. WITco has been providing opportunities in the Treasure Valley since 1974. A contract with Idaho Power has been ongoing for more than 30 years. People with intellectual disabilities have a wide range of job opportunities at WITco including precious metal recovery, packaging, assembly, recycling, document destruction, running a retail trophy shop and popcorn business, screen printing, and providing services for several Government Agencies.
