May 18, 2010 - PRLog -- The perception still persists that in Spain all you have to do to get a mortgage is to show up at your local bank branch, slap the manager on the back a few times , ply him with a few Carajillos and flash a copy of your passport past his glazed eyes.

Maybe once upon a time in a pueblo far, far away.  Or if you wear a headband and go by the name Rafael Nadal.

The reality for most of us these days is that Spanish banks are every bit as thorough and quizzical as their northern European counterparts when it comes to reviewing their mortgage applications.   In fact over the last couple of years the situation has become harder as banks reduce their lending and cherry pick their customers.

And this is just the start of it. If you can actually find a bank that will be prepared to lend to you amongst the dizzying array on every street, and the language barrier doesn´t get to you, then the archaic, esoteric and painstakingly  slow system will turn you into a crazy, gibbering wreck.

That´s when Quantum comes to the rescue.  Because we understand the process inside out and have the right contacts within banks and other professional bodies to speed it up.  Beginning from the start we:

- review the client´s  financial circumstances.

-obtain a pre valuation level from a registered valuation company

-conduct a check on the legality of the property using our lawyers.

For peace of mind we charge no upfront fees whatsoever.  The client pays us a success fee on completion of the finance.
