TEMECULA, CA -- Children's Chapter Book, "Sewing a Friendship" (ISBNs: 978-0-9842625-0-2; 978-0-9842625-1-9; 978-0-9842625-2-6) written and illustrated by TEN-year-old Natalie Tinti, won her Third Award and became a Winner 2010 in Children’s-Motivation Category hosted by National Indie Excellence Awards. “Natalie’s book is an unusual, inspiring artistic conception/creation about empowering girls to overcome obstacles and use creativity to grow together. Her positive messages about inclusion and imagination will also appeal to others from teens to adults,” by James A. Cox, Editor-in-Chief, for “Children’s Bookwatch” magazine.

NIEA (National Indie Excellence Awards) created to help authors by assisting them in obtaining more recognition and exposure through a respected Book Award Contest. These awards recognize the books, in many different categories, that demonstrate an indefinable synergy of elements that makes for an excellent presentation.

Sewing a Friendship formed in Natalie's mind from her own experience when she noticed that many of her classmates and friends were lonely, unhappy and depressed. Natalie came to realize that these kids, including herself, had extremely different opinions and attitudes about the same experiences -- the experiences that make us who we are and how we act toward others.

Natalie's story provides incredible insight about what makes kids interact with others the way they do. Why are bullies, bullies - and why are some kids cruel in ways that hurt and demoralize others who don't deserve it at all? Developing friendships is an area that Natalie Tinti has researched in her own life. In her book, Sewing a Friendship, she tells what great things can happen if kids go that extra mile in giving others a chance.
And each girl brings her own special talent into play. This is a book that empowers, excellent for a young reader and adults will find it amazing also!

Natalie is promoting her school's theme "Kindness is Cool" by writing gratitude letters to fellow students in response to their acts of kindness. She has appeared on the Southern California Life Morning News and many Radio Shows; name just few: Donna Seebo Show, Authors Roost, Teen Talk with Tyler Dumont & many others.

Sewing a Friendship, Fiction; Hard Cover $15.99 (ISBN: 978-0-9842625-0-2); Extended Cover $12.95 (ISBN: 978-0-9842625-1-9) is available at www.tintinatie.com, www.amazon.com, www.bn.com & everywhere.
