The three companies have considerable and complementary expertise in bringing the latest in aviation-focused Information Technology systems, and are working together to bring a unique opportunity to South American airlines to implement systems that were previously only affordable to global multinationals.
Already present in Europe, Asia and Africa, ADSoftware, Alyzair and Hi-Fly Marketing are now targeting South America. Expo Aero Brasil is already one of the ten largest civil aviation fairs in the world, and the largest in Latin America; it is the only fair that gathers exhibitors from all segments of the aeronautical industry, including the leading national and international contenders.
“We have always seen South America as an important market, and over the past years we have been selected as a strategic technology supplier to clients in the region,” says Christobal Henner, business development manager for Alyzair, “We wanted to take this further with a more direct presence, as it is a very large market with specific language requirements.”
Increasingly onerous safety and quality constraints by international aviation authorities, which have appeared quite daunting to many operators, might actually turn out to be more reachable than they thought. It does require that airlines adopt some new generation information technology tools – and at the same time it requires that the companies that develop these kinds of services strengthen their offering and the support they can provide directly on the ground to make them more suitable to local requirements. “Our partnership in this new venture in Brazil will strengthen our offering, both in completeness of solution, in being able to establish more direct interaction with clients,” says Alexandra Guillot, general manager of Hi-Fly Marketing.
“Fleet management system, logistics solutions, flight data monitoring services and aviation consulting: together our three companies share the same clear focus on technology systems for improving operational efficiency and safety,” explains Frederick Ulrich, CEO of ADSoftware. “To have these technologies has become a ‘must-have’
With 5,527 municipalities distributed across a territory of 8.5 million square kilometres, and with the second largest airport infrastructure in the world, Brazil is one of the most promising markets for growth in scheduled air transport. The scheduled air transport system is supplied by five national and international companies (TAM, GOL, VARIG, OCEANAIR and BLUE) and 15 regional companies (Trips, NHT, Passaredo, Air mines, Cruiser, team, seven, Abaeté, Rico, PUMA Air, Sun, Pantanal and TAF), with a volume of approximately 100 million passengers/year and 160 million in five years.
