Just last week, Y&R South Africa was awarded two Silver Pencils plus a Bronze Pencil at the 35th Annual One Show Awards ceremony. With the second highest number of campaigns shortlisted across South African agencies, and the second highest within the Y&R network globally (across 187 offices), this marks the shift of the agency from sleeping giant to ‘out of the blue’ creative challenger.
From ten entries submitted to the awards, Y&R achieved five shortlists. “That’s a one in two conversion rate, which is exceptionally high, especially amongst international competitors,”

• Land Rover “Everywhere URL” - Newspaper

The Two Silver Pencils were awarded for Land Rover “Everywhere URL” (Newspaper) and Unicef “Toy Soldiers” (Direct Mail), while the Bronze rewarded the work done for Unicef “Toy Soldiers” in the experiential category.
Merits were given to Ecomist “Eliminates Odours” in the poster category and Unicef “Toy Soldiers” for design.
