By: The Diamond Group Diamond makes bungalows and signal boxes for the railroad industry. The four-generation, family-owned company began in the 1930s with the manufacture of stove pipes. It has been offering metal products for 77 years to a wide array of industries, including healthcare, medical, restaurant, supermarket, correctional, mortuary, telecom, and now the railroad industry. Quick signal-box replacement is the first innovation the company has contributed to the railroad industry, with quick-replacement bungalows soon to follow, says the company. Diamond technicians offer both installation and support; alternatively, products may be purchased as do-it-yourself kits. Diamond Industries began in 1932 when Harry Diamond of Quebec started making stove pipes to feed his family during the Depression. The business grew in better times, manufacturing stainless steel kitchen equipment under the name of Canadian Kitchen. Sons Jerry and Alec joined the company, making it a leader in restaurant supply and expanding into other industries. Ron Diamond, Jerry’s son, joined the operation in 1974 and today serves as company President. His son Hillel is Vice President of Operations, completing four generations in the cycle of the family-run industry. Ron and Hillel Diamond, along with Paul Pellin, Vice President of Sales, Rail Division, will model the company’s new products at the Diamond booth at the RSSI C&S May exhibition in Omaha, Nebraska. The booth will display both railroad bungalows and double-high cases. The Diamond company executives look forward to meeting their future customers and to many decades of service to the railroad industry. For more information, contact Paul Pellin at (800) 363-5926. The Diamond Group is located in Laval, Quebec, Canada. # # # Founded on a principle of manufacturing high quality products using the finest components and state-of-the- End
