On May 3rd, 2010 CrossFit Stafford opened its doors at the Old Fire Station at 2080 Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1) near the County Courthouse.
According to the managing partner, John Beiswanger, the new location allowed them to expand to both morning and evening group workout sessions. There are now 5 Workouts of the Day (WODs). Two in the morning between 5 - 7 AM and three in the evening between 5 - 7 PM. Each WOD is approximately 20-30 minutes.
The CrossFit Stafford team got a lot of help from family and friends making the 1600 square feet facility ready for operation. A lot of additional equipment was added, including a 16 station pull-up/squat rack system.
There are currently 3 CrossFit Certified Coaches on the staff. The team plans on adding more equipment and WODs in 2010.
CrossFit Stafford currently has athletes ranging in age from 15 to 58 and offers both beginner and experienced group WODs (workouts). The staff includes CrossFit Level I & II Certified Coaches as well as an elite trainer to provide health screening, diet, nutrition and other fitness advice.
