Office Furniture Warehouse, a locally woman owned furniture dealership, announces it was awarded a “Green” furniture project by Memorial Health Care System to provide pre-owned cubicles. The pre-owned cubicles not only reduce the use of raw materials and energy, but qualifies the Hospital for LEED credits should they apply for them. Additionally, Memorial was able to save a significant amount of money over new furniture, helping fulfill its mission of financial and environmental stewardship.
Karen Thurman, president of Office Furniture Warehouse and partner John Jerman are thrilled with Memorial Health Care System’s direction and desire for quality commercial pre-owned furniture. In appreciation, and as part of their GREEN initiative, OFW has made a contribution to Take Root Chattanooga to have a tree planted in Chattanooga.
