Officials for Connecticut Screen Works, Inc. confirmed this morning that they recently finalized a distribution agreement with Connecticut Enclosures and Screens, LLC of Simsbury CT.
Connecticut Enclosures is now the sole and exclusive Distributor of Connecticut Screen Works products and product lines in 20 states. The exclusive trade area includes the New England and Mid-Atlantic territories and a portion of the Upper Atlantic trade region. Besides their marketing and material distribution responsibilities, Connecticut Enclosures has also been licensed to manufacture finished goods under the Connecticut Screen Works trademarks and brand names.
“This is a milestone for us”, stated Stefan Korn, President of Connecticut Enclosures and Screens. “The agreement more than quadruples the size of our business and has limitless growth potential - we are looking forward to achieving the goals and objectives that Connecticut Screen Works has set for us” Korn further stated. Key staff members from Connecticut Screen Works will be working directly with Connecticut Enclosures for the next few months to ensure quality and operational requirements are implemented and to help work out any unforeseen issues.
As part of the agreement, Connecticut Enclosures has taken ownership of Connecticut Screen Works manufacturing and warehouse facility in Wallingford, CT. They will base their service and manufacturing operations out of this location for at least the short term. Officials would not comment on the possibility of future job openings or expansion but in light of overall company growth “it is not out of the question that both issues will need to be addressed sooner rather than later” stated Mr. Korn.
“Discussions had been ongoing for a period of several months” noted Connecticut Screen Works President Sharon Caruso; the result of these discussions is an agreement that “is a step forward for each company”. Caruso would not comment on any of the specific terms or conditions of the agreement nor would she comment on rumors of discussions with other potential distributors. She did note that “we are on track to reach our goal of licensing two locations for distribution and manufacturing operations by the end of 2010”. “Our customer base and Dealer network continue to grow and we anticipate continued, measured, growth for the next several quarters - our aggressive plan for national advancement still remains a very high priority”.
