Golfer’s Tail Book Signing at Southeastern Art Celebration May 22

May 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA – May 15, 2010 – John Watkins will be signing copies of A Golfer’s Tail at the Southeastern Art Celebration at the Vespermann-Cooper Gallery at 764 Miami Circle, Suite 128, in Atlanta on May 22, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Readers can bring their own copy, but copies will also be available for purchase at the book signing.

As is the case with all sales of A Golfer’s Tail, the publisher, Ocelot Atlanta LLC, will donate 10 percent of its profits to support the efforts of Furkids, Inc. (www.furkids.org), a nonprofit organization that operates largest cage-free, no-kill animal shelter for cats and dogs in Georgia.  

A Golfer's Tail is a fun fantasy cat golf book about the adventures of Roscoe Watkins, a large gray-striped tabby cat from Atlanta, seeking to win the Grand Slams on both the regular and senior feline golf tours in one year. In seeking to win the “Quest for the Double Slam,” Roscoe not only has to take on his young trash-talking nemesis, Ichiro Nakamura from Japan, but the other feline greats, including Sandy McTabby from Scotland, Cyril “Lord Sandtrap” Bunker from England, Mioshi Murata from Japan, Bruno Mauser from Germany, and senior legends Scratch McNabb and Old Tom Norris.

The Southeastern Art Celebration will be held on May 21-22, 2010 at the Vespermann-Cooper Gallery at 764 Miami Circle, Suite 128, in Atlanta. The Gallery features stunning art glass by Seranda Vespermann and other artists as well as works in other media and paintings.

The Celebration runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday May 21, and from 11:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday May 22. The Celebration features more than 25 artists’ works in art glass, wood, ceramics, metal, paintings and jewelry. Events on May 22 will include family fun, art demonstrations, talks by artists, and music, as well as the book signing from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The exhibit runs though the Summer with new works added until July 31.
