May 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Imagine having a dad or mom or brother or sister in the military, doing an important job for our country in a faraway place.  Kids in military families can feel scared, lonely and separate from other kids living "normal" lives and having "normal" worries.

My Friendship Bracelet Maker (http://www.myfbm.com) is asking kids around the country to make a Red, White and Blue friendship bracelet (any pattern) to send to a boy or girl in a military family. The MYFBM Friendship Club hopes to collect 14,000 Red, White and Blue friendship bracelets this summer.  These bracelets will be distributed to kids at camps around the country that help military children and their families develop and maintain healthy and connected relationships. Please mail bracelets to:  MYFBM, PO Box 380482 Clinton Twp., MI 48038.

Friendship bracelets, made by knotting embroidery thread into various patterns, have long been a symbol of support and friendship.   For instructions on how to create these bracelets, or to join My Friendship Bracelet Maker's Friendship Club, go to (http://www.myfbm.com).  This is the first project of My Friendship Bracelet Maker’s year-long “Choose Friendship” campaign.

My Friendship Bracelet Maker is a new craft toy that revolutionizes the process of making friendship bracelets.  Each kit comes with 56 pre-cut threads inside the storage case, a butterfly clip that slides up and down the loom to hold the knot in place and a string holder to keep the threads in order.  The product is currently available at over 300 Independent Toy Stores across the country and Hobby Lobby and Michaels stores nationwide.
