It was a battle for the books.
After having a swelled right eye from running into a head-butt early in the first round, Andrello only hit harder and more furious as she battled back Saturday Night. Kim 'KO' Andrello won a unanimous 5-round decision in her WKA Lightweight Title fight against Canadian Lightweight Champion Theodora Pistiolis.
CNY entertained a sold out show with two of the biggest names in female martial arts as they displayed a heroic battle at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.
It was evident that Pistiolis came out to fight. She landed some devastating punches making 'KO' earn every point. As the rounds progressed, Kim 'KO' Andrello threw lightning fast combinations that overpowered Pistiolis single strike retreat. Andrello came out strong in the 5th round backing Pistiolis into the ropes to seal the deal.
Each round was action packed, with no downtime. It was a toe-to-toe battle that had fans on the edge of their seats.
"It was perfect. She was the best opponent, fighting for the best title. I wouldn't change a thing" said Kim 'KO' Andrello.
Celebrating the victory, Kim 'KO' Andrello will be hosting a special event at the LaVallee's USA Black Belt Champions Liverpool Dojo. The night will feature: high impact fight preparation drills, a self-defense session, and an opportunity to take your photo with CNY's new champ. This event is free for all ages, open to the public, and will take place June 4th at 6pm.
