University to Implement Proposal Development and Tracking Modules
ALBANY, New York –– InfoEd International, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for electronic Research Administration (eRA), announced today that the University of Central Missouri has selected InfoEd’s Proposal Development and Tracking software modules as part of their growing grant management and submission process.
The University of Central Missouri aspires to be a nationally recognized, comprehensive university that delivers a world-class education by providing a small-college learning environment coupled with large-university opportunities. By achieving this vision, the university hopes to ultimately make the world a better place – a task they approach by educating students, contributing to knowledge and application, and serving the State of Missouri.
Dr. Victoria A. Steel, Director of Sponsored Programs at the University of Central Missouri, said "While Missouri struggles financially, the diversification of funding streams, particularly those that lessen our dependence upon state and tuition revenue, improves the University of Central Missouri’s ability to meet its own budgetary challenges. Seeking and securing external funding, however, requires additional skills and support above our traditional funding processes. Thus, a priority is the need to concentrate our efforts in this area in the most expeditious and efficient manner possible.
In addition to the growth in our volume of proposals, we need easier access to proposals during the development and approval stage, and we need to tie to federal electronic submission systems. Working with UCM’s Information Services, the Office of Sponsored Programs reviewed options and costs and determined that InfoEd was the eRA system with the most complete functionality, technical support, cost and hosting options, and offered long-term consistency to match UCM’s needs. The InfoEd system solution also supports UCM’s sustainability initiatives by reducing the physical storage footprint, the need for printing and copying large documents, and duplicate files."
Edward Johnson, President of InfoEd International, said ―I am very impressed with the University of Central Missouri's mission statement which speaks of their desire to produce "lifelong learners dedicated to service...". This segues well with their approach to research and development and their selection of InfoEd software systems to support their vision. The idea of offering knowledge that sparks and fuels the desire to obtain more knowledge, aligns well with how we have designed our applications — tools that facilitate discovery and innovation. We are very pleased to be a part of the university’s quest to achieve their goals and welcome them into the esteemed group of InfoEd supporters."
