Andrew Brack Joins Partner Engineering to Head Phase II Due Diligence Practice

Brack brings to Partner more than 18 years of experience in natural resource management, brownfield redevelopment, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation and renewable energy development.

EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. - Veteran geologist and environmental engineer Andrew Brack has joined Partner Engineering as a Principal and will head the firm's national Site Mitigation Practice, announced company President Joe Derhake.
    During his career, Brack has consulted with and contracted by both public and private entities throughout North America, the Middle East and Europe to evaluate and remediate small and large compile sites impacted by contaminants such as chlorinated solvents, petroleum products, heavy metals, low level radioactive waste and combusted materials, including coal carbonization wastes and by-products.   He also routinely interacts with environmental regulatory agencies on matters related to the California Environmental Recovery Act (CERA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
    "Andrew is a rare breed of engineer who combines an unparalleled technical expertise, with a thorough understanding of state and federal environmental regulations," says Derhake.  "As a result he often plays a key role in regulatory coordination and negotiation, as well as legal mediation, strategic planning and litigation support.   Needless to say, we are very fortunate to have Andrew at Partner."
    Previously, Brack was a vice president with Tetra Tech, an international engineering and technical services firm, where he headed the commercial operations in California.  Brack, in this role, also managed the solar renewable energy practice on a national and international basis and was intimately involved with major utility scale solar developers; supporting the application of solar development projects on over 500,000 acres of land in throughout the United  States.  Brack, as the solar energy lead, was at the cutting edge of the renewable energy market in the U.S. and was often consulted on advancements in technology and its affect on applicability and affordability, and involved in resolving the challenges that faced and continue to face this industry.
    A registered professional geologist in several states in the U.S., Brack earned a BS in Applied Geology from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom and an MS in Engineering Geology from Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, England.
