Roy Whitehouse of WIS International and Windsoriano Lda has recently been named as President elect of the Council of International Investigators, CII. Roy has been a member of the Council since 2000 and has been in Private practice since 1985, prior to that he was a Police officer serving in central London.
Roy will be sworn in as President at the CII’s AGM in September this year which is being held in Cardiff, Wales. This is the first of the CII’s AGM being held in the United Kingdom since being held in Edinburg some years ago.
Roy has been involved in the Private Detective industry for many years and has being running his company based in London and Portugal since 1992. Prior to that he ran an Investigation company in London and had previously been an Insurance Investigator after his service with the Police achieving the rank of sergeant.
Roy said, “Being voted as the President of the CII is a great honour and a chance to give back to the CII having received much fellowship over the years from some great people who are giants in the international investigation community”
Roy hopes to bring some new and exciting procedures to the CII in areas of recruitment marketing as well heightening the name of the CII throughout the commercial and legal world which in turn will bring members names and contact details direct to prospective client.
Roy succeeds the incumbent president Nancy Barber Nancy was sworn in at the CII AGM in Brisbane last year. Nancy bought with her many ideas to help modernise the CII encouraging the committees to use their office to influence and introduce new ideas helping the CII to be seen as a modern forward thinking association.
Both Roy and Nancy agree that these are difficult but exciting times for the investigation industry in general and the CII in particular, they, as all the vice presidents and board members, are committed to showing that the CII is a modern association dedicated to professionalism within the investigation industry.
Roy continued, “I am very lucky to be taking such a responsible position from Nancy, she has kept the house in order and was a safe haven for the keys of the association, I am also backed by a dedicated boarded of directors who between them have many years of experience and the reputation of the council at heart.
